Qwello France has grown its electric vehicle (EV) charging network by launching new stations in  Sèvremont, Bayonne, Clermont-Ferrand (Vulcania), Le Creusot, Caissargues, Livry-Louvercy and  Noirmoutier, reaching a milestone of 100 charging points in France.

Qwello France is excited to announce the growth of its electric vehicle (EV) charging network with  the launch of new stations in particular in Sèvremont, Vulcania, Le Creusot, and Noirmoutier. This  strategic move not only enhances accessibility for electric vehicle users but also aligns with France’s  commitment to sustainable transportation and reduced carbon emissions.

This announcement comes as the Salon des Maires et des Collectivités Locales 2024 highlights the  importance of sustainable infrastructure development across French municipalities. As a member  of AVERE, Qwello collaborates with public and private stakeholders to advance the deployment of  electric mobility solutions that align with local and national sustainability goals.

With a total of approximately 85 new charging points planned across these locations, Qwello is set  to cater to local residents as well as eco-conscious tourists, thereby encouraging greener tourism  throughout the regions.

At Vulcania, a well-known amusement park dedicated to volcanoes, Qwello’s stations address a  critical need for EV charging solutions as, prior to this installation, the park had no charging options.  Qwello’s innovative and aesthetically pleasing design for the charging poles helped secure the  project, with the installation of 30 charging points.

In Sèvremont, a charming city in the Vendée region, Qwello has successfully installed seven  charging points across four sites. The final station, located in the City Hall parking lot, went live this  week. This initiative received support from city officials and the SYDEV, the Energy Syndicate of  Vendée.

In the industrial city of Le Creusot, these installations contribute to broader modernization efforts, providing essential charging solutions for both residents and travelers. Meanwhile, the scenic island of Noirmoutier gains vital EV infrastructure, enhancing its appeal to eco-tourists while preserving  its natural beauty.

Vincent Briola, Managing Director of Qwello France, expressed enthusiasm about this growth: “We are thrilled to grow our EV charging network in France, particularly in these iconic locations. Our  mission is to make electric mobility accessible for everyone, and these new installations mark a  significant step in supporting local communities and eco-tourism. We are committed to building a  sustainable future through innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our users.”

These new locations are added to the first Qwello stations launched in France last year, 2023, along  the French Mediterranean coast in Montpellier. This development is part of Qwello’s commitment  to making EV charging accessible in popular tourist destinations, further supporting sustainable  travel along the coast.

Qwello’s charging stations come equipped with real-time availability updates and an intuitive app for seamless payments, ensuring a hassle-free experience for electric vehicle drivers.

The growth of Qwello’s charging network is a crucial component of France’s strategy to achieve  carbon neutrality by 2050. By improving access to EV charging, Qwello strengthens the country’s  electric mobility infrastructure and actively supports its transition to greener transportation solutions.
