A cleaner city is more important than parking for fossil fuel cars

Good news! There will be more parking spaces for electric cars in Katrineholm. This was recently reported in the newspaper.

The new spaces will be established on streets such as Vasagatan, Fredsgatan, next to Pressbyrån at the central station, and behind Sörmlands Sparbank. In total, about twenty municipal parking spaces in the city will be allocated for this purpose.

Usage agreements have recently been signed by Qwello Sweden and Milepost. While the exact timeline for completion remains to be seen, Milepost estimates that its charging stations will be available at the beginning of June. That’s roughly three weeks from now.

This is more than welcome.

Climate change is one of the major challenges of our time. Addressing it requires action from politics, businesses, and citizens to find ways to reduce emissions. Making space for vehicles powered by alternatives to fossil fuels is one part of that effort.(…)
